Kev sits in a barbershop chair with his eyes shut hoping what’ll be the outcome of his upcoming date with Stacy. As the barber clips, he dreams of various sexual positions he’ll soon have Stacy in. But when local thug, Gary mentions that Stacy might have a promiscuous past Kev’s sexual aspirations suddenly go limp. The more Gary and his sidekick (Malik) elaborate about Stacy’s past the more uncomfortable the barber shop becomes. Eventually a young man named Isiah can’t take the degrading gossip anymore and storms out of the barbershop!

Around this time, Stacy applies the finishing touches to her makeup. Although she’s had a tough go with the dating scene in the past, she’s now a confident woman who knows what she wants out of a relationship. But her roommate and best friend Tasha is not so sure about this date as she tries to convince her to stay at home for a Netflix binge watching session. After a brief go around, Stacy rejects Tasha’s offer and decides to go on the date.Back at the barbershop Kev weighs the gravity of what was said about Stacy. Her questionable past and his frail ego don’t exactly mesh and he wonders if this date is even worth going on.

Despite getting sound advice from the bartender, Kev decides not to go on the date effectively standing Stacy up. At the restaurant, Stacy waits for Kev not knowing she’s been stood up. After waiting for an hour Stacy collects her things realizing Kev isn’t coming but runs into Isiah from the barbershop. Isaiah strikes up a conversation with Stacy and eventually convinces her to go out with him at the House of Soul for music and a late dinner. One man’s trash is certainly another’s treasure.
